I have the same model of printer. I also thought that I would share my experience on here since I have a proposed solution after trying a few methods from these sources below:
Drivers for HP LaserJet P1102w **
Wireless Printing (Airprint Instructions)
** There is no current driver or firmware update for this model yet as the list only goes to Mac OS High Sierra 10.13 unfortunately. However, you can set this printer up using wifi with the new Airprint 2 security updates available with the Mac OS Mojave 10.14.2 (Most Recent Mac OS update as of this date of post.)
What worked for me in this particular order:
Reset Printing System
1.) In the finder menu up top of your desktop click on the apple icon > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > "RIGHT CLICK" where the printers show above the + and - buttons > Reset Printing System
2.)This will DELETE ALL the printers saved to your Mac. Confirm this change. If you are prompted to enter in your administrator password to make these changes, do so.
Shutdown your Mac and Printer
1.) This will sound bizzare but give your Mac a rest. UNPLUG it from the Printer if you have it plugged into a USB cord and then shutdown and start it back up again.
2.) Same for your printer. UNPLUG it. Then power it back on again.
Setup Printer
1.) Once your Mac is rebooted, plug in the USB port again and RETURN to the Printer and Scanners Menu.
2.) To make this easier than me relaying the information, follow the second source instructions that I have listed above. – Thank you HP Customer Support for the help..
On step 15; however, the name of the printer listed will not be the same driver as the physical printer you have.
It will be listed as:
HP LaserJet Professional P1100w, 6.9
Test Print Wirelessly
1.) Send a print job now and see if this perhaps resolved the issue!
