My new M281fdw Color Laserjet pro won't print double sided.  In the print menu under "Layout" it shows that double sided is enabled ('long edge binding') but it only prints single sided (and all pages, it's not skipping any).  I'm printing on Statement sized paper.

Hi,

I would guess the paper size is the cause.

By revieweing its duplexer specifications I do not see Statement as a supported size for auto dulexing:

Can you see any difference while trying to do a such with Letter or A4 size?

Hi,  I've just bought this printer and I am wondering the same.  The product page is missleading at best if it doesn't automatic support 2 sided printing.  I have found out how to manually print on 2 sides, and I have managed to print out a single sheet two sided by manuall feeding in a single sheet to 'tray' 1.  Not really a tray as it only accepts 1 sheet of HP A4 85gsm.

"Get the fastest in-class two-sided printing speed"

"Achieve the fastest in-class two-sided printing speed"

"Speed through multipage documents with automatic two-sided printing."

I have now managed to get it to auto print 2 sided (full duplex) from tray 2.  Hoorah!

Tip: update drivers - restart (restart is very important)

Now i just need to work out how to align the colours!
