Laserjet Enterprise M608
Unknown

Hi,

We bought a Laserjet Enterprise M608 for printing batches of delivery notes, however if we print over 20 per batch the printer stops part way through and reprints the batch. This causes over a thousand wasted printed sheets per day.

The sheet which prints off in between the 1st part batch and the reprinted batch has the following printed on it.

PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: MissingAttribute
Operator: RemoveFont
Position: 7576

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We had a client with a nearly identical problem with a big HP color laser. Attached to their network it would error out on big jobs. Connected directly to a computer was fine. Turned out to be a duplicate ip address.

To test I would connect directly via usb or a network cable to a laptop or desktop and send a large print job to it. If it pushes that job fine then you have a network issue. If the printer fails when directly wired to a computer then you have either an issue with your file or an issue with the printer.

I thought the USB cable had sorted it, but I spoke too soon. I am going to try swapping the PC as it's an old one.
