Hi Pallipurath, thank you for your reply! The 3 first steps didn't help, I already tried and nothing changed; I'll try to reset to the factory defaults and hope that his will solve the problem.

Thanks, & regards,

Hi @SaraS69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you see a error code 59.C0 on your HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw usually indicates a problem with the printer's internal motor or the toner cartridge. This issue often arises after replacing a toner cartridge. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and restart. This clears temporary faults.

Reinstall the Toner Cartridge

  • Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
  • Remove the new color black toner.
  • Check for:
  • Protective tape removed
  • Plastic strips fully pulled
  • Any visible damage
  • Reinsert the cartridge firmly until it clicks into place.

Try Another Cartridge

  • If the error persists, test with another black toner cartridge, preferably a genuine HP cartridge.
  • Non-genuine or refilled cartridges often trigger 59C0 errors on M277dw.

Reset Printer to Factory Defaults

  • On the printer control panel, go to:
Setup → Printer Maintenance → Restore Factory Defaults
  • Confirm the reset and restart.
  • Reinsert cartridges and see if the error clears.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
