Hi Pasqué,

I think you had not doing excact and full all steps in my post.

The first, you TURN OFF your printer.

Then you retry follow these steps:

  1. Go to Control panel/Programs and feature, select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  2. Now go to Control Panel/Devices and printer, select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Click the bottom-left "Start" button on desktop, type "Device manager" in the search box and tap "Device Manager" on the menu.
  5. Once in "Device manager", click on the "View" tab in the top & choose “Show hidden devices”.
  6. Then from the "Device manager" list, check the entries under “Printer”  – If there are any entries, please right click and choose “Uninstall” – In the confirm device uninstall popup, make sure you select the box which says “Delete the driver software for this device".
  7. Also, check the entries under "Printer queue" and "Imaging devices" and repeat the same exercise. Delete any printer entry or any entry which says “Unknown device”.
  8. Once done, close device-manger. Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  9. Under print server properties, go to “Drivers” and remove any entry there as well.
  10. Now restart your computer again.
  11. Run “upd-pcl-x64-6.0.0.18849.exe” and select “USB mode plug and play”.
  12. TURN ON your printer and wait some minutes to windows know your printer.
  13. Restart your computer again one.
  14. Then go “Devices and Printers” again, if you only see “HP Laserjet P2055d UPD PCL6” is finish.

If no success, please check agian all steps and then retry.

Good luck!

Thanks dungleviet

I tried again but am still getting the 3D910C8 error on the printer and a protection error (exception code 0xc0000005) on the PC when I try to print. Guess the windows registry needs to be fixed first.

Best regards,

Pasqué

Dear dungleviet

I  repaired the registry with CCleaner (freeware) and after that I was able to make the printers work with the newest driver.

Thanks again for your valuable help.
