Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a B0506 error message on my printer.  I read that i need to udate the firmware with the HP LJ P2055 Firmware Update Utility but I cannont find this utility on the website.

Unfortunetly it doesnt look like HP is hosting the Firmware update utility for Win10 or Win8.  I found one hosted for Win7 though if you have access to a machine with that OS.

 

Specs are no longer listed for this End of Life printer:

Therefore I cannot confirm if Win10 or Win8 are fully supported by HP or not.

 

CNet seems to think this printer was most recently supported on XP and Vista which is consistent with what is posted on the HP Drivers and Download page. 

 

I dont think HP is going to be able to help you on this one due to an OS incompatibility issue.  If the only fix is to update the firwmare you need to find an OS that supports the Firmware Update tool or replace the printer.
