Extended warranty 3 years

My first post and I'm failing at the first irdle as I was asked to find a category to post in.  None of the headings seemed to fit so I cose this one.

I can see that HP offer a 3 year warranty on my printer model, but presumably ONLY if I purchase from HP direct.  Is that the case please?

If you want to extend your printer's warranty to 3 years you will need to purchase and register HP Care pack, the printer doesn't need to be purchased from HP direct, but you will need to contact your seller for additional warranty coverage price and availability.

If you buy an HP device from HP directly then HP Care Pack is offered automatically so the customer can choose.

No, this is not the case.

The printer is provided with a 3 years warranty promotion in select countries, a such apply for purchasing the printer from any retailer and require to register the promotion.

Visit below link:

Click the 'Please select your country/language' button and select your country, then select '3 year warranty extension for HP LaserJet selected printers' if applicable to your country

Follow the steps on screen to register the promotion, be sure to provide any required information and a digital copy of your proof of purchase when required, a confirmation mail will be sent upon registering.

I want to know if my extended warranty has expired or is still in force.

I can only say that I did my extended warranty on line and that I had confirmation emails etc during the process.

I made the application on 27th Nov 2018 and received a leter of confirmation email on 11th January 2019 to the effect that the 3 year warranty was now in force.
