Its interesting to hear that the network protocol had something to do with the printers paper jam detection system.  I wouldnt normally associate a physical problem with the paper path sensors with the networking components.  Thanks for sharing.

My printer HP DeskJet GT 5820 All-in -One Series gives me false alarm of error code E 4 ( paper jam ). Actually, there is no paper jam. Now the printer does not function. Will any one help me to solve the problem?

I don't know if this will help.  I have an MFP 180.  I had a paper jam and then my printer would not print after clearing.  If I went in settings it said it was off line or something like that.  So I unplugged it for at least one full minute.  Plugged it back in and I was back in business.  But after that it would intermittently do the same thing, just stop printing.  I could unplug and replug and get it going again, but what a pain.    I finally called HP support.  This is what they did,  logged into my computer and changed the settings and I no longer had the problem (that all seemed to start with a paper jam):

Change:   Turned off IPV6  Turned on IPV4.   Changed IP Address to Manual.

Since then no more problems.      I don't know if this will help you, but I hope so.
