Fax from PC - no printer located at specified address

Hello,

I have issue with fax from PC over the network. I used HP PageWide Color MFP 586 on office network environment. I used HP Fax Finder to locate the printer/fax machine but got error "no printer located at specified address". Could be this is known issue where this model we cannot use fax over the network?

Hi,

The HP Universal Fax Driver support consumer level products, not such Enterprise Level products as the PageWide Enterprise Color MFP 586 printer.

See the UFD Release Noted below, any supported device it listed and your model is not included:

Your printer do not support any fax from PC seperate component such as HP Universal Fax Driver or the HP PC Send Fax Utility as I can see from its documentation.

What is your exact printer model? is it the 586dn, 586f or 586z model?

The 586f or 586z models should support faxing from the computer with the HP Full Feature Software installed from the HP Support page.

Hi, many thanks for your reply. Sorry for the delay in reply. Firstly I already remove HP Universal Fax Driver dan previous HP printer driver from my computer and restart the computer.

Below is the Printer information from web IP address:

 

If I click on "Product Support" in picture above, it will open support page for HP PageWide Enterprise Color MFP 586f and I downloaded full driver from there.

The full driver feature seems only install drivers only. I cannot find Fax program with this installation. Below is the Fax feature in web interface of the printer, but this is only the settings for the Fax on the printer.

I try to play around with the settings but seems it do nothing. I have no Fax program on my computer with full driver feature. Much appreciate any clues.

So I assume HP PageWide Enterprise Color MFP 586f has no capabality to send fax through a PC over the network. Even though it is enterprise model. If someone can proof it is wrong, I would be happy because this can save time to users sending fax without going to the printer/fax physically. Until now I dont see fax from PC feature  from it's full driver package.
