A pity I did not get this information before yesterday as I bought a Brother A4 mono laser multifunction DCP7055 printer and have to pick it up from the post shop today. Bought it because I want to print my own cereamic fired on decals. If I understand it correctly this will not do the job as the iron content in the toner is not high enough?
Now, can you supply me with a black toner ( which you altered) for this specific Brother printer?

Hi Marley. I'd love to know a bit more about your process if possible? (I realise this was posted in 2009 however!!!)
I'm wanting to print on clay and as its also high temperatures I'm hoping it might be a similar process as yours. And I do have made plans to work with glass factory too in the future.
What is the paper you have found to work with this printer? Is there any other chemical/ requirements to help the transfers....
Your assistance would be most appreciated...I did the process years ago while living in NZ, we just got the copies done at the local copiers...but since I'm in UK now = cant find anyone to help and wasting so much time experimenting with no good results.
Thanks in advance
Kobi

My hplj1020 seems to have died.
I want to do image transfer to ceramic decals.
You recommend the 4100, but they are only available refurbished.
You also suggest some improvements to get thicker toner.
Is there a way to buy an optimized machine that is reliable for not too much?

I wonder if the HP 63 ink cartridge for my 4650 HP would do the same thing. I too want to make image decals for fused glass. Can't seem to find how much iron oxide is in the HP 63 cartridge and whether you can use it even tho this printer also has a color cartridge. Can anyone help with that?
