HP LJ M477fnw

I have an M477 at a private school that needs a firmware update. On many of the models, i.e., M652, M553, I am able to access the Pre-Boot menu to install the firmware via USB by pressing the cancel button when the memory count starts. Tried updating using the update feature in service tab on the display panel but kept getting an error that printer could not access the internet. However, printer is connected because I can see it on the Web Interface and its pulling an IP address. I tried accessing the firmware update via the Web Interface but could not find this option anywhere. I really prefer the USB method, as with this being at a school and multiple users connected to the printer, I can not use a work station to install as I would with a local device. Does anyone know how to access the Pre-Boot menu on this printer or if it is even an option?

The M477 is a pro series product and only supports updating using the HP Easy Firmware file for that printer. Can you not remote into a computer on that network and push the firmware out? The file works with both USB and Network connected printers, it only requires that the printer is installed and ready to print on the comptuer you are on.
