My 2605dn has had no problems for years. Last week, with the color toners running low, the first page printed normally. The second page had faded colors, so I changed the three color toners. When I initiated the same print job, the first page was normal and again the second page was badly faded. I put off worring about the color laser and used my wife's X476dw to finish the job. The next day, the 2605 did the same thing. Also attempting to print again led to only faded pages. Subsequent experimentat shows that if I let it set for a few hours, the first page is ok but the second page is always faded.

I have been experiencing the same problem. I downloaded and attempted to isntall the firmware from the above link, but now the printer is completely dead.
I think the firmware shown is incorrect, but now I have no way of re-installing the cortrect firmware. Looks like the unit is trash now, unless someone can tell me how to reinstall the firmware.

Just as a warning to anyone who might run across this post, DO NOT use the firmware in the above link posted by RU03 on 09-21-17. It is not the correct firmware, and you will end up with a brick.
Also, running the calibration and cleaning tool does not cure the problem.
