color laserjet pro MFP M377dw

When I print a page whether it is colour or black and white, there are 4 /5 smudges / gaps in the printing which appear down the left hand side of the page.

I have done the prescribed cleaning process on the settings option on the printer but this has not improved the problem.  As it seems to be a fairly closed printer, I can't see where to get access to clean anything else.

Thank you

sounds like a bad fuser, can you post a picture?

It has been going on for a couple of months and the quality does vary.  As I only work two days a week, there has been limited time to try and sort it out!

Based on the spacing, fuser or toner cartridges. This really looks consistent with a delaminated fuser roller. Not unheard of on this series of printers. If your page count is low enough you may be able to get HP to cover this under a warranty exception but you will have to chase them for that.

OK.  Thank you for your help.  The toner cartridges are replaced only with HP products and I checked them again today to make sure they all looked alright.  I'll check the date of purchase but I fear it will be out of the warranty period but will also check the copy count and see if I can get anything from HP although I'm doubtful.

From your experience do you think it is most likely the fuser?

Based on experience I would say 99% sure it is fuser.

Repetitive defects that occur every 57 mm (2.24 inches) will be fuser related.
