Have tried at least four different brands of "compatible" toner cartridges for M277dw printer over the past year, and after a few months one of the colors, typically starts with the magenta, starts leaving spots on the paper.  The first time this occurred, the supplier replaced the cartridges, thinking they were defective.  It happened again within a few months, so I changed brands.  Same thing happened...again and again.   I have had no issues with  any of the brands of black cartridges; only the colors.  Anyone else had this issue with this printer?

Note:  I rarely print any color documents.

any time you use compatible, non-HP toner there is a higher risk of failure.  its important to note that most of those toners have already been through the ringer once before, so to speak.  If you really want the defect gone, probably best to buy HP originals.  They are more expensive, but you'll get better quality.  its a trade off.
