Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn

When scanning documents, I scan to a thumb drive. Recently, I erased the thumb drive using my MacBook using Operation System is iOS 15.4.1 (Sequoia), and after doing so, my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 does not recognize the thumb drive or any thumb drive formatted with the MacBook. Some are formatted as MSDOS FAT32 and others as ExFAT. Each time I insert the thumb drive in the printer USB port, I get the following message: "USB device uses an unsupported file system. Reformat the drive using a FAT file system." Multiple formatting efforts have not resulted in a different outcome. To date, I have not tried formatting one of the thumb drives on an MSDOS/Microsoft OS machine, as I do not have easy access to one.

 

Any suggestions?
