When I print a configuration page, the color alignment bars line up with the exception of the blank ink.  It is shifted to the left on the page.  The regular output shows a shadow on the printing of colors.

have you run a colour calibration on the printer ?,  if you have and are still getting the problem, check that the black cartridge is located correctly.  If it doesn't appear to locate correctly, check the lock levers on both sides of the cartridge slot and make sure they are not broken or hanging lose. Also check that the cartridge shutter operates correctly when opening and closing the front door/cover.

Thank you for the reply.  I've run the calibration several times.  Found a hint online to run it 3 times in a row (did that too).  The cartridge appears to be solidly in place and the shutter is working as it's supposed to.
