No problem, as I said it may cause, I have seen where it does not cause issues but other times I have seen that it does, which is a small percentage. It is worth trying out and trying on a regular test print, either way it will revert back to normal once you reboot the machine. Just some added info.

You are welcome.

Well, I decided to do the DISABLE CARTRIDGES CHECK, so i went to the DIAGNOSTICS menu and clicked on it. Now I'm getting 10.92.01 CARTRIDGES NOT ENGAGED. Turned it off, then back on, reselected the DISABLE CARTRIDGES CHECK and still getting the new message.

This printer is a torture machine!

Okay, now that you have this new message, it points to something is not allowing the cartridge to engage properly. What I suggest is pull the cyan out and inspect the left side of the machine. There should be a small black arm, it is probably broken or spring came off. If you compare to the other slots, the colors should be black and there is a gray one just for the black toner. A work around if the arm is loose, is lift the arm up, install the toner and it should fix the issue, a way to easily fix it is get a tiny piece of cardboard and brace it in between the arm and frame of the machine and it should hold the arm up in place. Enclosed is an example/location of the arm.

Hope this helps....example.jpg

I did a perfunctory first look and everything seems to be okay on the left side of the cartridge slot. Later on today I will use a flashlight, so I can see every detail and then compare. This is so discouraging. I've never had a problem with this printer until I inserted that cartridge received from the Amazon seller. We'll see what happens when the new one arrives on Monday. Thanks for helping me diagnose. Much appreciated.

Well, the new cartridge arrived and I got the same message. I called the IT company I've been dealing with for 15 years and told them about the problem. They sent out a tech who inspected the receptacle for the cyan cartridge and, with a flashlight and his right hand, explored every inch of the cavity. He retracted his hand with a piece of black plastic no more than a quarter inch long. It was on the right side of the cavity floor, all the way to the back. When he reinserted the cyan cartridge and turned the printer on, NO MORE ERROR MESSAGES! I'm so relieved and so embarrassed at the same time that I couldn't find that little piece of plastic myself.

Thank you again for trying to diagnose the problem.  You've been great!
