HP 477DW -

We have a brand new printer  we are attempting to replace a depleted cartridge.   We are receiving "There is a problem with the supply system.  Try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non empty cartridge"

1.  We have attempted to replaced the cartridge with both  Genuine HP ink cartridge -  972A and 972X

2.  The Printer recognizes the new cartridge is installed but errors with a "Cartridge Problem" and shows the cartridge as empty.

3.  Removed, inspected both and reseated with no change to issue.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you replace the depleted cartridge does it recognize properly? If so then likely you just have a bad cartridge and will need to have the vendor or HP replace it.

We've replaced the cartridge with two different ones - 972a and 972x

Both received the same errors.

Printer recognizes the cartridge type installed but errors with "Cartage Problem" and shows the cartridges as empty.
