Need help bought a display model HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M283fdw from officeworks and it has a password set on it!!! cant connect it to any network and officeworks doesnt have anymore in stock and this is the only one that works correct with my old blueprint app.

 

Can some one please provide the factory reset process and to remove the setup/config lock password? URGENT!!!

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe until the Setup menu displays. Touch the Setup icon to open the menu.
  • Scroll to and select the Service menu.
  • Scroll to and select Restore Defaults, and then touch OK. The printer automatically restarts.

this does not work setup password prevents this you can not get to the service menu as it asks for the password!!!! im sorry but i dont think you read the issue properly. the entire setup password is locked as it was a display model! i need the factory reset process sent to me to wipe all the saved and protect settings back to factory
