HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M477fdn Not Connected

Hello,

I was having printing issues and decided to uninstall and reinstall the install pack (.exe) and when I did, the install was stuck at 99% for some time and finally errored out. It essentially stated the printer was not connected. At first, I thought the cable was bad and bought a new one, but it didn't work. I then downloaded the new HP app through the MS Store and that app cannot find the printer (yet it is connected w/ USB cable).

I am not sure what to do. I looked on the internet for solutions, but the majority of answers were talking about wireless "network" connections and that is not this (older) setup.

Any suggestions?

Hello Rita,

Thank you for helping. I bought a new cable that is 10' long and thus, 2" too long. I am waiting for a shorter cable now. I will keep you updated.
