HP Color LaserJet 5550 jam in tray 1 and 2 error 13.01.00

Hello HP Community,

I am currently running into paper jams when there aren't any jams at all. I was able to get it to print again by just pushing this trigger, visible at the lower left corner when you open tray 1, but have no idea what its purpose is. However, the problem reoccured again. We have already replaced the paper pickup assembly and dc control board.

Please help

Part that was pressed manually which got the printer to function for a whileLower left corner when front is openedWhen pressed, it moves the upper right piece. Still unsure of it's purpose. Nothing triggers it from outside

Solution found for tray 2 Jam, we replaced our paper pickup assembly. Working fine now.
If you are having a tray 2 empty, we replaced the DC Controller board because the lifters weren't initiating.
