Hallo!

Wer will helfen?

THX for the advise Raj_05! Here is my posting again in English:

Hi all! I’m having an endless paper feed issue with my HP Color Laser Jet CP1515n.
The printer makes the usual feeding sounds, but it just keeps looping without actually grabbing any paper. I already replaced the pickup rollers, which didn't help. A technician told me the internal gear might be broken and claimed it’s unrepairable.
I really don't want to throw away an otherwise good device. Can anyone help me troubleshoot or suggest a fix? Any advice is welcome!

Hi @Michaelyx,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Thanks for sharing the details about your HP Color LaserJet CP1515n. Since you’ve already replaced the pickup rollers and the issue persists, it’s possible the feed mechanism or internal gear is indeed worn.

Before we conclude it’s unrepairable, I’d like to check a couple of things with you.

First, have you already reached out to HP technical support? If yes, please provide the case ID via private message so I can look into what has been done and assist you accordingly.

Meanwhile, here are some basic checks you can try:

Clean the paper path:

Remove any dust or debris inside the tray and feed rollers.

Check paper type and tray

Ensure you’re using supported paper sizes and weights and that the tray guides are snug against the stack.

Inspect separation pad

If worn, it can cause endless feed attempts.

Run printer diagnostics

Use HP’s built‑in reports to see if any mechanical errors are logged
