Hello guys, We have received 6 new HP Color LaserJet MFP E87640 printers - Product name: 5CM63A. We have a issue with one of them, as it keeps asking for tray 1 manual feed when printing. On our print servers we have configured the trays in device settings as below. Manual Feed in Tray 1: Letter Tray 1: Letter Tray 2: A4 Tray 3: A3 Tray 4: A4 Tray 5: A4 When i went to the printer and checked the trays, we had the trays filled with the correct papers. I then checked the setting son the printer Trays where it said the following as below: Tray 1: Any Size, Any Type Tray 2: A4, Plain Tray 3: A3, Plain Tray 4: A4, Plain Tray 5: A4, Plain. Have you any suggestions for this problem? I really want to avoid heading to each persons computer, and changing the Printing Preference to use Tray 2.. Example for myself it's using automatically, and I have no issues. Please advise, Thank you Kristoffer

Perhaps I am a quart short of coffee right now but I do not quite understand everything in your post. Are you saying that the users preferences are showing up as different that what is setup on the print server as defaults? The most common cause of this is that the settings have been made in preferences not in defaults. Preferences only affect the computer and user that they are set on, whereas setting the defaults through the advanced tab on the print server driver instance should force those settings onto all users who connect.

Thank you Repairatrooper, I did not know about the advanced tab, and i changed this default setting in there to A4. This seem to have fixed the error.
