HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn

A customer of mine has several HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn and they all seem to eventually have the same problem of a streak on the left side of the page.  We've replaced toner (only using HP toner) and run cleaning pages though and no change.  I also updated the firmware.  I had a printer repair person look at it and he said it isn't worth the cost to repair and to just replace the printer.   Is this really a lost cause or there an actual cost effective fix for this since it seems to keep happening.

See below for an example.

Thanks!

Check the fuser to see if there's something broken or dirty which you can try to clean it off.

Common failure on this model. If the page count is low I would take HP to task and get them to fix it.

I agree its a common failure that is why I'm looking for a solution.  They have about 8 of this model printer and so far 3 of them have exhibited this problem.  They are about to be replaced but it would be nice if we didn't have to and it could be repaired.

They system is about a year out of warranty so HP is unlikely to help.  Is this really not something that is fixable without HP looking at it?

Is there any documentation available to point me to how to check the Fuser?
