HP CP 1025nw with static IP configured and LPD enable.

I send from a Server Solars 8 (Unix ) a text file to print, but no output on the printer.

No error on server log.

This printer is supported on Unix*  ??

Thanks in advance

The LaserJet CP1025w printer is a 'host-based' device, which means that it doesn't understand any of the traditional Page Description Languages (PCL5, PCL6, PostScript); nor does it understand plain text.

So it depends what you mean by "send" in this context.

If you are just sending plain ASCII text direct to the printer port, it will not be understood.

The printer needs a driver (or whatever the Solaris equivalent is) to convert the text into the (proprietary) raster image format which the printer understands.
