HP LJ ENT M506

Hi Good day to you all,

Printer model - HP LJ ENT M506

Issue - When trying to print the printer displays "Size mismatch error 41.03.E1". The error related to both Tray 01 and Tray 02. After the Error popping up when we manually set a tray pages comes out as blank and nothing prints on it. This issue is related to printers self printed pages also.

What we have done - We have replced Registration Assy and Formatter to resolving the issue. changed the paper type, paper size. Reset to defaults. Upgraded the firmware to latest.

Any help in this regards are highly appreciated.

Regards,

Namal

Engine test work or not?

Interior of a printer is free from dust and toner? Cleaned paper sensors with compressed air?

Have you checked paper path sensors with Manual sensor test in the Troubleshooting menu -> Diagnostic menu -> Manual sensor test?

Have you tried with another toner cartridge?

All sensors pass in manual sensor test?

Engine test works but if you print the internal demo page you get 41.03?

Default paper size is correctly set to paper size you are printing?

Manual sensor test is ok. Engine test works. paper size is correctly set to what im trying to print.

DC controller control sensors and motors then send information to formatter, since you have tested sensors and replaced formatter I would blame DC controller.

Hi Valsimot,

I will change the DC controller and check.

Any other suggestions guys?

Namal.

Changing DC controller wont resolve the issue. We are still getting the error.

Do you have more of these printers and you are swapping parts?

You have replaced all obvious parts and done manual sensor test that passed. Engine test works, but the demo page doesn't.

There is a good reason why is the printed page blank and then you have an error. The root of this problem must be something you would never suspect.
