HP LJ M3035xs MFP

Hello folks I have a HP LJ M3035xs MFP that is jamming from tray 2 speraticlly. It will feed fine from the bypass/mp tray. From tray 2 I get the following jam codes, 13.98.00, 13.02.00, and 13.20.00. I have replaced feed and sep in tray 2, swapped out the fuser too. Cleaned out the sensors. Nothing changes, however the bypass/mp tray works fine before and after all the swapping. Any ideas??????

Jams occur because a roller in the paper path either slips or grips too much.  When the paper hits a barrier it crunches up and fails to hit the next paper path sensor when the printer expects to see it.

I suggest cleaning the rollers in this area with a damp lint free cloth to see if you can improve the results.  If the problem persists then swap the rollers with a replacement roller kit.

It could be the sticky solenoid on tray 2 paper pickup assy that sometimes get sticky and printer feeds additional sheet and then reports jam.

You can run paper path test, simplex, and when a jam occurs check do you have a blank sheet of paper somewhere in the printer, if yes then it's sticky solenoid.

On that printer model is a challenge to access solenoid because you need to remove complete gears on the right side.
