Hey
So I installed the drivers and all the software for my Laser 107w about a month ago. At first it took a while to set it all up, but once it worked it worked no problem. Fast forward a few days when I again needed to print, none of my computers could connect to it over WIFI. So I reinstalled all the drivers, whole thing picked up again. But again, after some time no computers can seem to find the device. There have been no changes to the WIFI itself. I get an error message "Printer status is not available. Please check power and cable connection."
After connecting with USB, it at least seems to find the printer, but says it's "Sleeping..." and won't do a thing what ever I do.
So any ideas what to make of this?
Best
K

Update: USB doesn't help either. However, when I connect it with USB, Easy Printer Manager will display the green indicator that it can at least find the printer, but claims that the printer is "Sleeping..". To reiterate: worked fine immediately after first install, after that it keeps failing.

@KaurM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
If the printer is in sleep mode, press any button on the printer to wake it up and then try printing. Ideally, it should wake up when a print command is given from a computer.
For more info on sleep mode, refer to - HP Printers - What is Sleep Mode?
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
If the printer is connected wirelessly,
Install the printer using the TCP/IP port:
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Remove the existing printer entry > click on Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by printing a wireless config report
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Resume/Cancel button
for about 10 seconds until the Power LED button
blinks slow, and then release.
The Configuration and Network Configuration reports print.
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing.
For more info on connecting the printer, refer to - Connecting the printer to a wireless network with WPS
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
