My LaserJet CP1525nw gives a 79 error when printing a multi-page document. I am running the driver on a Macbook Pro and while other threads provide direction to a .exe Firmware update, that file is not compatible with Mac. Any help would be much appreciated!

could be a corrupt print job. clear the print queue, and print a different document. If successful, resend the multi-page and if it fails, the file you're attempting to print is corrupted. you can also go into your start menu, type "servcies" and look for the print spool. stop the servcie and then restart it. see if that helps. Should that not work, look at what type of file youre trying to print, is it a pdf? if so, look for a postscript driver and install, see if that works.

79 and 49 error codes are not really the result of a corrupt print job in most cases, but typically something in the print data that cannot be properly processed by the printer, usually a font, and usually from a PDF file or webpage that is trying to be printed. Sometimes the printer driver itself can cause those problems.
Try deleting and reinstalling the printer driver on your computer first to see if a different driver is installed that may work better.
Updating the firmware to the latest version can help in many cases, but not always. Sometimes the data is too new or complex for any older firmware to correctly process. Sending the job to a different printer will usually work. Ideally, updating the firmware is the next step in trying to get the printer to work with the job you wish to print if the driver did not make a difference. Since the firmware file is not compatible with your Mac, finding someone with a standard PC that can run that file would be your best bet.
