LaserJet Enterprise M608
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently installed 3 additional 550-sheet paper trays to my HP LaserJet Enterprise M608 network printer.  The printer pulls from Tray 5 as expected until it runs out of paper.  The printer then send an Out of Paper status to any computer that tries to print after that.  Trays 2-4 are all FULL, but the printer doesn't start using Tray 4 as expected.  All the paper type and paper size are set the same (Letter, Plain).  The problem has existed since I installed the trays.  I have updated the Firmware and that didn't resolve the problem.

I am currently using 4 M608 printers and ODDLY one of them actually works using all trays in the order expected.  I have made sure the other 3 M608 printers that are not working have EXACTLY the same settings as the working printer, but still no success.

I have tried removing the trays and adding them back per the instructions, but does not work.  The trays are enabled, but the printer will never use Trays 2-4.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thats a tough one, i'm going to take a shot in the dark and recommend checking the tray settings.  make sure the printer isnt selected to use the requested tray exclusively.  if you go into the troubleshoot menu, can you print a test page from any of the other selected trays?  My only other recommendation would be to try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling.
