After performing a firmware update, the printer no longer recognizes the JetDirect card.
We tired flashing via USB twice, and a third time, rolled back the update.
Any suggestions? We have 4 that are now offline the rest of the HP's of various models updated just fine.

When you print a config page after the update does it show the network card as installed? I suggest that you go into the preboot menu and make sure that the network card is active. The firmware might be causing it to be turned off.

I must have missed something, I simply n an attempt to repair that is, selected the firmware of the USB stick via the Device Settings on the control panel and did not see the opportunity to make changes at all to any settings... any clue?

As stated, you need to go into the preboot menu to see these options.
