I have issues to get HP LaserJet MFP M130nw run from Windows 7 64bit.
The printer is in the wireless network. IP address came via DHCP. The router always assigns the same IP, I can see in the router, that the printer is connected and I see the assigned address in the display of the printer, just beneath the "Ready" text.
From the shell, I can ping the printer.
The printer can copy a paper, print diagnoses triggered from the display and when I connect to the printers webpage (IP address in brower) I see various options and I can print various reports.
I.e. The printer does not seem to have any hardware issues.
BUT Windows does not list it as printers. When I started the installation HPEasyStart_6_0_3355_37.exe it immediately finds the printer with the correct IP address and says it gonna be easy to install. At end of installation, I get a success message.
But the printer is still not listed.
BTW: The Scanner is listed and I can scan via TWAIN.
When I manually add a printer via Windows Printer setting, it finds it on the network. When I add it, its initialization showed green check marks, but ends with an Error (not further specified).
The Printer is listet now, howver with a yellow exclamation mark. Windows cannot identify the problem. I cannot print.
My old printer (Canon) broke too early, this is why I changed now to HP. But it took my several tries to even get this far. I really need to be able to print again. I don't want to use WiFi direct, this is why I switched it off. I did not try it, yet. I want a normal network printer solution.
I would be even happy with a USB solution, but this failed as well.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @WenzelS,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues while printing from your HP LaserJet printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
Perform a Hard reset on the printer, router, computer and other devices on the same network.
The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before continuing.
1. Press the Power button on the printer to turn it off.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.
4. Turn off the computer.
5. Wait for 30 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.
7. Wait for 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready
8. Turn the computer back on.
9. Wait for the computer to reload
10. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
11. Turn the printer back on.
Let’s try assigning a static IP to try and fix this issue. Follow the steps below:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Once done, reinstall the printer drivers. Follow the steps below:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/COL71128/LJM129-M134_UWWL_4-1_UWWL_3_1_Full_WebPac... to download and install the updated printer drivers.
- In the connection type window, select “Wireless” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Let me know if those steps worked for you.
If they did, that’s awesome!
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.

Hi,
I tried a lot, however I was not able to install the printer.
I was not able to find all the options on the EWS page.
I cannot select "IP4 only". However under "Networking"-"Advanced" is a list of "Enabled Features", where IP4 is listest and checked. But there are also many other entries, which are checked.
Under "Networking"-"Network Identification" I can configure the precendence of manual. Futhermore unter "IPv4 Configuration" I can select the IP Preferred Address Method as "manual". However I don't find something like "Suggest Manual IP".
Since the printer is in the network, I installed the driver from the link.
It got even worse. While originally, it was found on the network immediately, I has to specify the IP address manully. It continues the installation and it told me to be successfull. However still no printer visible.
Then the same: Let Windows search for a network printer. It finds it and allows installation. Why the installation process is sucessful, it fails at the very end and the Printer symbol has a yellow exclamation mark.
I am running out of ideas!
Please help!

Wenzel, i am running into the same issues OS: WIndows 7 64BIT Printer; HP LaserJEt MFP M130nw. I have not found a solution to this problem. It seems to me that this printer is not compatible with windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried everything
The driver that the printer installs via USB/Network installs a Null Print driver - MFP130NW. Even if i download the driver or INF file it still doesn't work. We tried USB/ WIreless/network etc, nothing works.
We deleted drivers, we tried universal print drivers, we tried mcirosoft hotfixes that have compatibility issues with HP printers using IPP non windows base printer. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3001232/print-jobs-fail-in-windows-7-and-windows-server-200...
Really would like a solution
