HP LaserJet P1102w
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I am struggling to connect my printer to the WiFi network using the instructions given here on HP's website. When using the instructions under "Connect the printer to a wireless setup using a USB connection," and getting to the step where I can search for my network, when I Refresh the Available Network Names, the whole site crashes and no longer works.

What can I do to connect my printer to my wifi network?

Figured it out, thank you! Or rather, the website just didn't crash completely this time for some reason. I had to close out the screen and go back to Printer Utility and reopen the html at every step, though, but somehow, I managed to set it up.

Thank you!

Thanks for posting on the HP Support Forums. MKazi is at your service.

I understand that you're unable to connect your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wirelessly. I read that while using the method "Connect the printer to a wireless setup using a USB connection", when you reach to the step refresh the available network names, the whole site crashes.

To assist you better please reply with the following information:

  • Do you mean to say that the whole website crashes or the Mac computer crashes?
  • Does your wireless router support WPS?

Please feel free to reply with this information. I'll be glad to assist you further.

Cheers! 🙂

The whole website crashes, not the Mac computer.

I use the Google Home Mesh WiFi router, which apparently doesn't support WPS because of security issues. Is there a workaround I can do?
