HP LaserJet P4014n pirnter
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi There,

I have been using my Hp LaserJet P4014n laser pirnter for a long time, and have noticed the print quality has deteriorated over the last couple of weeks. It is laying more and more toner down on the left side of the page - about a quarter of an inch from the left with a strip approximately an inch and a half wide with the same thing happening on the right side of the page, same dimensons.

What do I do to fix this? Current toner cartridge has been in for a while, but I am not getting any messages that it is running out.

Thanks.

most likely, this issue is from your toner or fuser.  remove the toner, look at the drum, can you see marks or defects that look like what youre getting on the page? heres another thing to try, do a half cycle test. this will tell you which part is causing the defect.  load one sheet of paper into the manual tray, and print.  BEFORE it gets to the fuser, stop the print by opening the toner access door and check the paper.  is the defect there before it hits the fuser? if yes, toner cartridge is to blame.  if no, fuser.
