Streaks on pages not due to dirt or dust on glass or ADF. Is it possible to clean the transfer plate for this model?

Common issue with these units is for the waste transfer bin on the belt to fillup and cause waste toner to spew back onto prints. If you remove the transfer belt and open the flap on the belt you can see if it is jammed full of toner. If it is, you can skake the belt with the flap open to tray and get waste toner that has collected out of the belt. The flap is located on the bottom the belt, it is on the left side of the belt as you pull it out. (front of the printer). We see this alot, replacement belts from HP are more than the printer is worth. If you can shake out the excess toner in a garbage bin you may get some more life out of the printer.
