HP Laserjet CP1025n2 Color
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi! Wondering if anyone can help me.

I have a MacBook Air and I'm trying to connect to the HP LaserJet CP1025nw color printer. My MacOS is the Catalina 10.15.3.

And it seems that HP/printer does not have an updated driver for Catalina 10.15.3.

I checked on the HP website and the printer model does not support ePrint on Catalina.

Wondering if anyone can advise me how might I get the printer connected? Any updated driver that I can download from?

Many thanks in advance.

Blessings

Alan

Hi @AlanSCK

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

If you are using a HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Color Printer, it is AirPrint compatible. You do not need a printer driver to install the printer.

Make sure the printer is connected wirelessly to the MAC on the same network.

Please ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.

4.) Click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

6.) Try to print.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi! This time, I'm trying to print from my ThinkPad.

I've tried to add printer from settings. But it is not picking up the printer signal. The printer is sending a blinking blue light.

I'm unable to connect the printer to the Wifi as well. I tried putting in the IP address but the browser reports that it is taking too long and it does not load. The printer does not have a LED or any panel. It only has a row of buttonws (signal / blue light, toner indicators, and test print).

Please let me know how can I add printer so that I can print?

Many thanks!

To know how to connect the printer to the wireless network, kindly refer to this document.

Use WPS to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Once the printer is connected to the wireless network, Install the printer using the driver available on HP Support site. Click here to download.
