Hi,
I bought this printer because I wanted to use it from my network and not directly connected to the USB.
I tested from a Mac OS X (10.14.4) and it found it by network and printed it nicely.
Obviously I tested successfully by USB from Windows 10 64bit.
But when I tried to search I couldn't find it.
Also, I tried with HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) and searched without luck.
Finally, I tried with driver installed for USB, but changing the port and adding a tcp with the IP of the printer (found using the DHCP utility on my home router) and it printed! BUT the "print test" prints infinitely, and when I tried to print a document it prints the first page ok, but then got an error and stop.
Any solution?
I want to print without moving the whole printer from one location to another when using different computers.
Thanks
Tito

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

I also have a HP LaserJet 1022n and cannot get it to print over a network connection with a Windows 10 computer. It prints fine by USB connection. I used the Windows "Add a Printer or Scanner" menu to find the printer over the network and add it to my list of printers in Windows but a test page will not print. Also I tried using the HP Print and Scan Doctor but it was not successful in getting the printer to print over the network.

Welcome to HP support community.
Refer page no.14 in this user guide to connect the printer to the network:- Click here
I hope that helps.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

The user guide led me to be able to discover the printer's IP address, which allowed me to manually install the printer using the manual install feature in Windows 10's Printers & Scanners page. The drivers from my 1022n installation disk seems to work with Windows 10.
Now if I could only figure out how to mark Sandy's Post as an accepted solution!
