HP Laserjet P2055d
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my HP Laserjet P2055d printer.

First of all I have not a proper driver for Windows 10 (32 bit). If any one have, kindly share me.

Secondly, When I install any driver on win 10, it prints a blank page.

Other operating systems didn't create such problems.

Looking for help.

Do a google search for P2050 PCL6 driver to get a link to

HP LaserJet P2050 Series PCL6 Default Install page with download

Try that as your driver

I had to use my original driver install from CD that came with the P2055d printer

The newest universal HP driver did not work, so I removed the printer, uninstalled HP apps, and reinstalled the driver that came with the printer.  Then I turned the printer on, and made sure there was no automatic driver install.

Then it worked with my Windows 10 upgrade (which is 64 bit)

Does your printer still work, even in version 1703 od Windows (Creators update from last month)?

If yes, which driver do you have? Please, give me the number from Printer Properties.

I have problems with the newest (22169) and with an old one (18849), but I tried with some others, too.

Sometimes it prints, but then I get a message on the printer display saying it is error 3d910c8. Then I have to turn it off and on, and it prints one document more... only one.

The old driver did not work with the new Windows 10 update and the existing driver received with the printer would not load.

therefore, I uninstalled printer again, downloaded new driver from HP and reinstalled printer.

that worked

I did not install recommened unoversal HP driver as that does not appear to work with this printer.

i think the win 10 update installs the universal HP driver, and that appears to not work.

in summary, use the new HP driver, and not the HP universal driver.

Thanks, your reply motivated me to search for a special driver for P2055 and i've found one on DriverGuide (HP LaserJer P2050 Series PCL6 61.93.2.77). It seems to work now 🙂

I am interested why does this driver not exist on hp.com - does anybody know it?

Hi Brundo and JGercal,

I saw the same problem with my HP Laserjet P2055d printer when I upgrade from Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 8.1 64 bit and then Windows 10 64 bit. Error message on printer screen “49 Err 3D90A44 Turn off then on”.

Yes, the newest universal HP driver did not work, so I removed the printer too, uninstalled HP apps too and then reinstalled with old driver and now my printer still worked fine. It's "HP Universall Print Drive" (UPD) for PCL6 version 6.0.0.18449.

All version UPD for PCL6, PCL5 and PS reading at:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/UPD/

Hi Oic,

I glad to help you.

This example you using Windows 64 bit.

First you search and download “upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0.18849.exe” file at: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/UPD/

Then you need to uninstall the existing drivers for the printer completely from Windows, try follow full and exactly these steps:

  1. Turn off your printer.
  2. Go to Control panel/Programs and feature, select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  3. Now go to Control Panel/Devices and printer, select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Click the bottom-left "Start" button on desktop, type "device manager" in the search box and tap "Device Manager" on the menu.
  6. Once in "Device manager", click on the "View" tab in the top & choose “Show hidden devices”.
  7. Then from the "Device manager" list, check the entries under “Printer”  – If there are any entries, please right click and choose “uninstall” – In the confirm device uninstall popup, make sure you select the box which says “Delete the driver software for this device".
  8. Also, check the entries under "Printer queue" and "Imaging devices" and repeat the same exercise. Delete any printer entry or any entry which says “Unknown device”.
  9. Once done, close device-manger. Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  10. Under print server properties, go to “Drivers” and remove any entry there as well.
  11. Now restart your computer again.
  12. Run “upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0.18849.exe” and select “USB mode plug and play”
  13. Then turn on printer and wait some minutes to windows know your printer.
  14. Go “Devices and Printers”, if you only see “HP Laserjet P2055d UPD PCL6” is finish.

Important: If you using Windows 32 bit, search and download “upd-pcl6-x32-6.0.0.18849.exe" file.

Hope this helps.
