When attempting to print from a mobile device whether iOS or Android the printer shows up but is listed as unavailable or if available goes into an endless initialzation loop. This is a recent occurance as it printed just fine from both phones in the past.
I have tried all the methods of hard resets for the printer, router, and phones. I have updated the firmware to the latest version on the printer. So far nothing has worked. It prints fine from my PC's and scans and copys as normal. Only mobile printing is affected.
My set up:
LG ThinQ G7 running Android Oreo 8.0 HP Print service is installed and ON. The default is OFF.
Apple iPhone 6 with iOS 11.4.1 iPad Pro with the same iOS.
PC's running Windows 10 64 bit and Windows 7 32 bit (These work just fine)
HP M1212nf MFP Firmware 20150405. Manual IP address assigned. The printer is connected to the LAN via Ethernet cable to the router. No USB cables are used. The printer is plugged directly into the power outlet.
Router is Google fiber box model GFRG200
My Canon MG5520 is unaffected by this problem so it seems isolated to the HP.
In post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Initialization-loop-after-network-change/m-p/6344079... it was stated that if the above methods didn't work an NVRAM reset was the solution. As this is confidential from HP I would appreciate being able to try this.
Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

This solution would be great if I was having a problem printing from my PC's. I can print from both Win10 and Win7 just fine.
The main problem is with mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Both Andriod and iOS devices are affected. As I stated before, either the printer shows up as unavailable or goes into an endless initialzation loop.
Thanks,
Jim

Here's the solution I found. I tried the HP Smart App and didn't care for it. It seems to be very invasive and you can't print directly from the app you are working from, ie. Word, Google Docs, or similar. At least I wasn't able to in the short time I had it installed.
Here's what I did. I disabled the HP Printer Service and re-enabled the default service on my Android phone. I had to manually add the HP printer's IP address and once it was entered, everything worked. I can now print from my phone as well as my iOS devices. I don't know if it was a setting on the Android device causing the problems or the HP Printer service but either way, we can now print from all devices in our home.
Thanks for the support suggestions and even though they weren't the solution for me, they did help.
