I'm having issues with my printer, It all started when I was printing on premium glossy paper. At first, I noticed how the paper was printing out with black streaks along the left side the of the paper. After that, a paper jam occurs, I open the printer door and I notice how the ink was all over the black roller and even on the transfer belt. Because I felt that the printer needed cleaning, I proceed to try to take these parts out and clean everything the best I can. I popped out the transfer belt, used a soft cloth rag to wipe the belt. I used an air can to blow out all the excess ink/dust that is within the black compartment which is connected to the belt. I wipe the belt until I felt it was clear of all ink/dust. Next, I cleaned the ink cartridge rollers by also wiping it and blowing the air can on it. I assembled everything back to where they go and now when I try to print, the printer hits a paper jam each time. I even tried the cleaning and calibrating options, but still, nothing worked. Therefore, I 'm not able to print anything. I need help lol.

Hi jo95hsua,
First, take out the glossy paper and put A4 plain paper in the tray. Set tray-2 type to plain and size to A4.
Print a configuration page through the menu of the printer.
Do you still get paper jam?
Where does the leading edge of the paper stop?
Do you get any error code message on the operation panel?
I hope I could be of help,
Cheers!

So I just got into work today and saw your message. I changed the paper to standard paper, I printed the configuration page and the page came out with no issues. So after that, I printed a colored page on standard paper and it came out with no issue as well. Thank you for your help.

Just make sure that when you buy paper that your printer can support that type and size of paper.
After that, you will have to set the corresponding paper type and paper size settings in the printer's menu.
Cheers!

Glossy or photo paper is usually used in order to get better quality in photos or images print-outs.
You can use it, but you will have to check the specifications of the paper, such as size and type (weight as g/m2) and change the printer's tray settings to that.

Also, try cleaning the pickup rollers of any dust they might have. Maybe they have lost their grip.
I hope this may help,
Cheers!
