I opened my toner draw to look at the toner product code to order new ones. The blue handle came off. Replaced it but can't close the door now. Can only pull it out as far a the 2nd toner cartridge. It appears to be the left hand side that is stuck.

I am afraid that didn't work but I have resolved the problem with the help of my daughter. There is a black clip on the left hand side to which the white "sprocket thing" clips in. There is one on the right hand side 2. It had become unclipped and we needed a long flat object (letter opener is ideal) to prise out the part it clips into. Once we did this it worked fine. I suspect this is the real problem for a lot of others who have also experienced this.

@LesleyK, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I would recommend performing a power drain once and then try to remove the cartridges. Here are the steps:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord(This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now, use a little force to try and close the cartridge access door. If you are successful in closing the door, then try and open the door again.
Let me know the outcome.
Cheers 🙂
