We are unable to clear a paper jam error even though there is no paper jam. Have unplugged and restarted several times with still no success.

I have had this issue a couple of times and what I found was a small piece of paper lodged in the pickup assembly. The easiest way to check this is to remove the toner cartridges and the paper tray. Then turn the printer on it's side and check the area around the pickup rollers carefully for any small bits of paper or other foreign material.

Thank you so much! That actually was not the issue but taking it apart and turning on its side made me realize there was an additional part of the paper path we had not checked under the glass top scanner. That is where the jam was located. The screen kept saying it was in the back panel area. So problem solved! Thank you again!
