MFP M575
Linux

Hello everyone,

We have printer HP MFP M575 and we'd like to set two paper trays, the first one for A4, and another one for envelopes.

We are using paper which size is 210x99cm and i CANNOT set correct setting.

We are using print server and it's installed on Linux virtual machine with CUPS to manage these printers, and for now everything and every another printer have worked perfectly.

I've tried to use setting, which works in another HP/Kyocera printers - Monarch Envelope, in the printer settings and driver as well and when i send a task to print, printer reacts correctly, then prints correctly but while finishing,  i'm getting an error "Load tray. Tray 1: Envelope, Monarch" or "41.03.A1 Unexpected format in Tray 1" even though i've added Envelope Monarch and it's set in the driver and printer!!!

I'm going crazy here, i cannot set it, maybe you have solutions for that?
Driver i use is: Generic PCL 5e Printer Foomatic/jet4d

Sorry for polish language, but printer is being used by polish staff.

First step is to isolate whether you have a hardware issue or a setting issue.  Set Tray 1 to A4 and try printing something to Tray 1. If you get the same. error then likely you have a sensor issue in the printer. I would also try by-passing the Linux print server and printing IP direct to see if that works.
