HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

After changing the black ink cartridge, a cartridge problem indicator showed up and despite trouble shooting and following the guidelines on help videos, the message remains: "Cartridge Problem: one of more cartridges are missing or damaged. Until cartridges are replaced, make sure the printer is turned on to avoid damage to the printer."  

 

I have removed and reinserted all  the cartridges,  cleaned the  electrical contact on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth according to video tutorial and  have rebooted the printer following all of the instructions provided by the Virtual Agent.  All to no avail.

 

Suggestions??

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
