P1102
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have HP P1102 printer, when it's connected to my computer using USB port the manual duplex works fine.

At one point there is a popup stating to move the printed pages from the top to the feed tray and press Continue to print on the other side and get the rest printed.
When I connected the printer to print server TP-LINK TL-PS110U printing still works fine, but the popup about moving the printed pages from the top to the feed tray is no longer showing. Still the printer as a warning light blinking waiting for the confirmation to print on the other sides. All this results in lack of ability to print on both sides manually (it's the same for MS Office and Adobe). How can this be fixed?

I don't change the drivers or reinstall the printer. All I do is change the port from USB to the TL-PS110U IP port using LDR.

Please let me know how can I get the popup show again while using TL-PS110U print server to get the manual duplex functionality back.

Thanks

Hi,

Using a print server will not allow communication to display any such popup by the HP software as with a direct connection to your computer.

As a workaround, you may reload the printed pages faced down into the tray, and then open and close the cartridge access door to resume printing.
