Changing Region for HP PageWide Pro 477dw Printer

To change the region of your HP PageWide Pro 477dw printer to be compatible with cartridges designated for India or Japan, follow these steps:

  1. Contact HP Support:

    • The region reset requires assistance from HP Support, as it involves a remote procedure that only HP can authorize and perform. Contact HP Support for your region and explain your situation.
  2. Prepare Required Information:

    • Have your printer’s serial number ready.
    • Note down the new region you want to set (India/Japan).
    • Provide details about the new cartridges (975X) you are trying to use, including where they were purchased.
  3. Follow HP's Instructions:

    • HP Support will guide you through the necessary steps or perform a remote procedure to change the printer region.
    • They may request specific printer diagnostics or logs to ensure a successful region update.
  4. Install New Cartridges:

    • Once the region change procedure is complete, install the new cartridges, and they should be recognized correctly by your printer.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
