Good morning, I've some troubles with my printer: it prints white pages instead of the normale ones, but the ink inside it's original. Maybe it could be that I haven't used it for a long time? Could you please give me some advices? I've tried to clean the head inside, but without success.

Welcome back!

As suggested before, please use the instructions on the private message sent to you, to have the device either repaired or replaced,

Since this seems like it could be a hardware malfunction with either the cartridges or the printhead.

I hope that answers your query,

If it did, click here to access our public post and Select - "Accept as solution" if you wish to help the community grow and have a good day.

That said, It'll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to identify your concern and/or address your query.

Does it print fine using the copier as a stand-alone device?

If it doesn't work either, this could be a hardware malfunction,

However, if it works fine, you could follow the below steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

       NOTE:

HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Update the printer firmware for printers connected to a computer with Windows.

  1. Make sure the printer is on and connected to the computer through your local network or USB cable.

  2. Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.

  3. If a Let's identify your product to get started page displays, click Printer.

  4. Type your printer model number, and then click Submit.

The software results page for your printer displays with the default operating system selected.

  5. If you need to change the version of Windows, click Change, select your version, and then click Change.

  6. Click Firmware, and then click Download.

If a Firmware section is not listed, an update is not currently available for your printer.

  7. Save the file to your computer.

  8. Locate and then open the file to start the installation process.

  9. When the HP Printer Update window opens, see if the printer serial number displays.

    • If the serial number displays, select the checkbox next to it and then click Update.

    • If the serial number displays but the status is 'not applicable' (grayed out), you do not need the firmware update. Click Cancel.

    • If the serial number does not display and your printer uses a network connection, connect a USB cable to the printer and computer. Wait 20 seconds, and then click Refresh. When the serial number displays, select the checkbox next to it and then click Update.

  10. When the update completes, click OK.

  11. If you connected a USB cable to update your network printer, remove the USB driver installed by Windows.

    1. Search Windows for the control panel, and then click Control Panel in the results.

    2. Click View Devices and printers.

    3. Right-click the USB printer device that matches your printer model, and then select Remove Device.

    4. Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer, and then restart the computer.

Welcome back!

I must say, that's quite strange, however, if you haven't printed a test page, please do so using the below steps and work accordingly:

  1. Load Letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. Touch the lower left corner of the control panel four times until Support Menu displays on the control panel, and then touch OK.

       NOTE:

The OK button becomes visible when you access the Support Menu

Figure: Touch lower left corner of the control panel

    1. Lower left the corner of the control panel

  3. Touch the menu button next to Support in the upper-right corner of the control panel () until Reports Menu displays, and then touch OK.

  4. Touch the button in the upper-right corner of the control panel () until PQ Diagnostic report displays, and then touch OK. The print quality diagnostic report prints.

Determine which cartridges printed which areas of the print quality diagnostic report

Different cartridges print different areas of the print quality diagnostic report. Use the following guidelines to determine which cartridge printed which areas.

  • The black cartridge prints the black areas of the report, such as the black bars and black text.

  • The color cartridge prints the color areas of the report, such as the cyan (blue), magenta, and yellow color bars.

Figure: Which cartridges print which areas of the print quality diagnostic report

  1. Printed by the black cartridge

  2. Printed by the color cartridge

  3. Printed by the color cartridge

Make a note of which cartridges printed which areas of the print quality diagnostic report, and then continue to the next step to troubleshoot defects on the report.

Printer doesn't print the report, only prints of my personal but yellow photos.

I tried the way you say it, but it doesn't work.
