I spoke with some colleagues of mine and one of them had something that you can both try. JonW suggested that CCC might extract to a similar folder name as the HP software. The way to get around this would be to access your temp folder, delete the contents, extract the printer's software again, cancel the install, access the temp folder again, rename the 7z folder, move the 7z folder to a different location, and run the setup.exe from the new location. I'll piece the instructions out below in a bit more detail. Give this a shot, and let me know what happens.
- Press the Windows key and type %temp%.
- Click on the Temp folder.
- Press Crtl + A to select all, or right-click and choose select all.
- Press Shift + Delete to completely delete the contents of the temp folder. If a message comes up saying it can't delete a file because it is in use, skip that file.
- Run, or download and run , the install software again.
- Once the install finishes extracting and comes up to the first screen, cancel the install.
- Access the Temp folder again.
- Left-click on the 7z folder to select it.
- Right-click on the 7z folder and rename it. I would suggest something like HP 7515 Drivers that way it is easy to find.
- Right-click on the 7z folder and select cut.
- Open a new directory and paste the file, or paste the file directly to the desktop. You could even put the file on a flash/thumb/jump drive and run it from there.
- Open the folder.
- Look for the Setup.exe file and double-click it to run it.

Same Here, I have spent hours reinstalling the printer software and drivers. Over and over again the printer install software opens "AMD Caralyst install Manager". I can see my HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a on the wireless network but I cant print because I cant get the software installed.
This started after I upgraded my computers Hard drive to a bigger one. I made the new drive the boot drive and installed Windows 7 64 bit.
When this PC booted from the old HD the printer worked fine. I can also print from my other laptop. I have only gone online to download drivers and for Windows updates. I dont see how I could have malware on my pc.
