LaserJet M1136 MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have LaserJet M1136 MFP.  Got a new Laptop with Win 10 OS.  When I connected the printer 1st time to the Laptop over USB, it got detected by the WIN 10 OS as "hp smart install usb device" under DVD/CD-ROM Drives.   I have installed the printer driver manually to the PC.  Printer driver is correctly listed now.  But unable to print anything.  WIN 10 gives an error: The printer couldn't print the PDF file.

Is there a way that I can  get the printer detected properly to my Laptop & not as DVD/CD Drive ?

I had thought that HP had disabled this feature on most of their printers due to issues like this. At the very least there should be a way to turn off the feature, however if you cannot get connected, updating the firmware might prove challenging.

My earlier WIN 10 Laptop was all OK.  With new Laptop, this printer is not getting recognised as printer, no Q of attempting any update :-(...
