@Teodor2018,

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, you're getting an error message.

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Are you able to print or make a copy?

Let's try these troubleshooting steps:

Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Root uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

Let me know how this goes,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers!

Hi Flower_Bud,

Thanks for the reply!

The Scan Doctor doesnt find any errors.

The steps you give me below, I have tried these nummerous times, and I keep on getting the Error message everytime the PC restarts. This problem existed from the very beginning when I installed the Printer.

The PC is two months old, and is in Top shape... no other issues!

How can I remove the HP Status and Alerts Programm, as it is not even listed in my programs?

Its a problem with status and alerts!

Thank you!

This worked on my Windows 10 Desktop. Go to SETTINGS-Search-Task Manager- Task Manager-View System Resource Usage In Task Manager. Once in Task Manager, Select START. Scroll to HP Status Alerts. Highlight it. In the bottom right of screen is an option to Disable. Click on this and Disable should appear in the Highlighted Status Alerts.

This is admittedly brute force, as you will not get any alerts. However, if my printer is not working, I will probably know it.

I have never had any problems with this method.
